Hello Friends! The latest ARC/Brushy Fork Institute Flex-E grant is complete! You are invited to a Garden dedication reception on Monday Aug 6^th at 5:30 CST behind City Hall to celebrate the newly created beautiful garden space. The GARDEN DEDICATION will take place just before the regular council meeting at 6pm. Refreshments will be served inside City Hall. Join us for a short program, scheduled speakers: Linda Watts, Suellyn White, Bonita Hendren, Mayor Edwards and Ottis Highbaugh.

Don’t forget the Bonnieville Community Friends Membership Drive Reception Thursday Aug 9^th at 6 CST at BVFD. Refreshments will be served. Come out and help plan a Community Center for Bonnieville! Regular meetings are held the 2^nd Thursday of every month at BVFD.

Hello Friends! KWA & Bacon Creek Watershed Council is hosting: CLEAN UP BACON CREEK DAY SAT July 28 from 9-12 CST. Meet at the Bonnieville Bridge over Bacon Creek. Help keep our water clean! The Watershed Council meets the 4^th Monday of every month. 
Everyone is invited.

Bonnieville Community Friends (formerly Merchant’s Association) invites you to a Membership Drive & Reception Thurs Aug 9^th at BVFD 6pm CST. Community Friends goal is to get a Bonnieville Community Center. If you are interested and wish to share ideas on a Community Center please attend. We need as many citizens as possible in order make this happen, and we can only make it happen if you participate! Community Friends meet regularly at BVFD the 2^nd Thursday of every month at 6 CST. Hello Friends! The Garden behind Bonnieville City Hall will be dedicated on Mon Aug 6, at 5:30 before the council meeting. BOAZ Foundation wishes to thank everyone who participated in the garden project. We will be having workshops for anyone who is interested in making a personalized footstone to place in the garden, details & dates to be announced.

The garden could not have been completed without help from the following: ARC/Brushy Fork Flex-e-Grant, Jane Higgins, BOAZ Foundation, Hardy's Construction, David Denney Bonnieville stone, Country Corner Mkt, John Bourne, Cindy White, Matthews Concrete, Charlie Williams, and HCHS Greenhouse. Painters: Janet Clauson, Donnie Clauson & Betty Atteberry. Our workers that developed the walkway and garden bed: Donnie Clauson, Shirley Dye, Kayla Emberton, Mr. French, Mark Hall, Bonita Hendren, Robin Hendren, Donnie Johnson, Arvin Pennington, Bradley Riggs, Gaines Riggs, Daniel Tharp, Christopher Warner, Linda Watts, Mark Webb, Suellyn White, & Cindy White.

BUZZ AROUND BONNIEVILLE June 29, 2012

Hello Friends! The final Bonnieville directional sign was placed at the Exit 71 North ramp. Thanks to the BOAZ Foundation, the latest ARC/Brushy Fork-Flex-e-grant, Janet Clauson and Kenny Signs there is a sign directing visitors to Bonnieville and to the Frenchman’s Knob Land Preserve, currently under development. 2012 Jan-June Grant Projects included: Community Meetings & Open houses, the Historic Mural, a pocket Garden behind city hall and the I65 directional sign. Completion of the ramp sign finishes the sign project proposed during the first BOAZ Beautification grant in 2010.

We appreciate every one who advertised in the Bonnieville Homecoming New-Herald Insert, purchasing an ad helped fund this grant! There are many people to thank for their contributions to all of the projects completed during this grant cycle; a heartfelt Thank You to each and every one!

Hello Friends! The Historic Mural on Bonnieville’s ACME lodge is completed. Thank you to our talented muralist Glenda & Dale Krauss for creating such a beautiful scene of Bonnieville’s history. It took hundreds of hours to transform the wall into a collage of historic scenes. Stop by and see depictions of days gone by; WK Jameson, Camp Jefferson, the Jameson House and Bacon Creek Station as a hub of local activity, post office, stagecoach stop, and hotel. On Thursday, June 21^st participants of the Community Mural Workshop gathered at the mural to receive certificates of Gratitude from the BOAZ Foundation. Their efforts will be appreciated for years to come.
